Transformative Touch

As Jesus was on his way, the crowds almost crushed him. And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her. She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped. “Who touched me?” Jesus asked. When they all denied it, Peter said, “Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you.”

But Jesus said, “Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me.”

Transformative touch. That's what Katy called this type of touching in the message on Sunday. This is not the touching that happens in a mosh-pit or a crowded bus. This is intentional, risky, I-need-God touching. It's the kind of touching (same Greek word) that is used to describe Jesus touching the leper and cleansing him or touching the dead boy and giving him life. This is transformative touch.

When in your life have you experienced a transformative touch from God? Is that something you need now? Are you willing to take that kind of risk on Jesus to get what you need? Reach out to him today...
