Thanks for checking out City Church Long Beach.
We are ordinary people, each on our own spiritual journey. Our church is made up of the religious and irreligious, the churched and unchurched, new and lifelong followers of Jesus. If you visit our church, we'd love to have you, just as you—all are welcomed.
Our Sunday worship begins at 10:30AM. We meet at Lafayette Elementary School on the corner of 25th Street and Chestnut Avenue—check out our contact page for a map and directions. The service ends by 11:45AM.
Most people dress casually here, but we are diverse crowd—you will find some in dresses and collared shirts and others in flip-flops and sports jerseys. Wear what will make you comfortable. We also wear sticker name tags, because we like knowing each other's names.
Your children are more than welcome to stay with you for the entire service. However, in the middle of the service after we are done singing, we will call all the kids up to the stage to pray for them—after the prayer, anyone ages four-years-old to fourth grade may go to kid's class where there will be crafts, play time, and learning. We also have a nursery for any newborn infants and children up to three-years-old. There will be signs directing you to the nursery.
At City Church, we love our Sunday services. We also think there is more to being a church than just meeting once a week. That's why we offer community groups. Our community groups change quarterly, and below is a sample of groups we offered in the past. Let us know if you'd like more information on our current groups.
