Prayer as Processing

As we’ve been in our Therapist series over the past few weeks, there’s been plenty to process. Loss, anger, personal growth, conflict, and healing - so many good insights about all of these!

This week is a week to pray these things into our heart and souls.

Today we’re praying through part of the prayer in Ephesians 3. Notice that it ends with this idea of being complete - being mature. That’s the goal of all of the learning we’ve been doing, right? We’re trying to figure out how to follow Jesus on the journey of becoming who we were created to be.

And notice the key thing that Paul prays on the way to this completion: it’s all about letting in God’s love.

Would you pray this prayer for yourself today, taking all the time you need?

Then take all the time you need to pray it over someone else.

And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep God’s love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. - Ephesians 3:18-19
