Finding Our Superpower

Yesterday we had four remarkable therapists answer our questions about sexuality. Someone told me (Bill) afterwards that they were so impressed with the collective wisdom in our church. I couldn’t agree more. This verse came to mind:

We are stewards of the mysteries of God. - 1 Corinthians 4:1

Those four therapists shared so many keen insights, such thoughtful nuance, and helpful tools - what a gift. They were stewarding the mysteries God had show them.

And that made me wonder about some of the mysteries that God has revealed to the rest of us. Since each of us is made in God’s image, doesn’t each of us know God in a unique way? I wonder what each of us might have to say on different topics, or perhaps it’s not even about what we would say. It’s our actions that reveal the mysteries of God: the way we love, the freedom with which we forgive, or the power with which we work for justice.

Someone last week was talking about how we each have a superpower. What is yours? Ask God to help you see what it is.
