All Worship is Worship Music
What a great worship Sunday yesterday! What a gift to have such wise and gracious leaders to guide us through our singing each week and to be authentic with us about their own souls!
As you ponder what it means to worship, reflect on this verse and on this quote by a contemporary pastor.
“I think that all music-not just Christian music but all music- is worship music, because every song is amplifying the value of something. There’s a trail of our time, our affections, our allegiance, our devotion, our money. That trail leads to a throne, and whatever’s on that throne is what we worship. We’re all doing a great job of it because God has created us to be worshipers. The problem is that a lot of us have really bad gods.”
--Louie Giglio
Do not forget the covenant I have made with you, and do not worship other gods. Rather, worship the Lord your God; it is he who will deliver you from the hand of all your enemies.” - 2 Kings 17:38-39
Regardless of the kind of music you listen to, what is in it that is best for your soul, that most makes you feel alive? And when does it lead you in ways that may not be great for you? See if you can pay attention to those things this week.
